KNIGHTS OF THE BLIND

In 1925 Helen Keller offered the keynote address at the Lions International Convention. She challenged Lions “to become Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness.”

In 1991, CLERF (Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation) borrowed the concept from LCIF (Lions Clubs International Foundation) and started the Knight of the Blind award.
